After the Gophers played solid defense for a few series, intercepted Clifford early, PSU, led by Singleton and Allen, bludgeoned a Morgan-less and one-dimensional Gopher squad into submission. The white out was in full-effect. Minny false started themselves behind the chains regularly. And yet, it was only a one-score game at the half.
Evaluating PSU’s team and looking ahead to this Saturday…
- Thankfully this game will be a nooner.
- PSU running backs must be respected.
- They rebounded AND built important momentum. Nits will be confident.
I fear PSU more than Iowa because they clearly have offensive weapons, they’re playing in front of 109,000 friendly fans, and our O-line hasn’t fully exercised last year’s demons. Until that unit can dominate a talented, motivated, and confident opponent, I will be very nervous about The Game.
