My question is about NIL money. Let’s say Bobby Buckeye, or Charlie Crimson Tide, or Vinny Volunteer is projected as 5th to7th round pick after junior season. Do you think NIL money being what it allegedly is - let’s say $100,000 for a round number. Do you think the availability of NIL money could be a reason that a player decides to stay in college one more season? Let’s also assume that scouts and NFL personnel have pointed out that the player has deficiencies that could be mitigated. And just to be clear I don’t mean an NIL collective is going to offer X money in direct quid pro quo to stay. That’s probably illegal. I just mean the normal course of business with NIL. What do you think? I think it’s possible that NIL money could be sufficient to convince a 21 year old to defer $millions for one year because $100,000 is still a lot of money
Could NIL Money Persuade a Player to Stay in School One More Season?
