Today was the first Saturday I've had to work in a long time. Didn't get to see my Buckeyes crush Iowa 54-10. I am looking forward to watching the replay. I did have a chance to check the 11W comments during the game. Also saw that it was 16-10 before the good guys pulled away.
Looks like the defense dominated as we knew they likely would. Still an unbelievable turnaround from last year. Also saw that we ran for 66 yards and averaged 2.2 yards per carry. Sounds like the red zone was a problem for the first time all year. Heard Stroud had a rough 1st half, but played much better in the 2nd half.
The most important games are upon us now. At PSU and The Game. The running game, the red zone, and the defense were a problem last year. The defense looks to be fixed, but the SCUM ground game will test that statement. I'm concerned about the running game and red zone efficiency after seeing today's stats and watching the ND game.
After today, are we more concerned or less concerned about the likelihood of a national championship run? We would probably have to beat SCUM, win the B1G Championship, and then beat 2 of the 3 SEC teams (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee).
This year seems to set up more favorably than next year as the QB position will be an unknown. Without yet seeing the Iowa game, can this team run the aforementioned gauntlet, or do they need to get much better to achieve the goal Buckeye Nation has set for them?
