When we look at the updated stats from across the country tomorrow, it is very likely that the defense will statistically move up close to #5 and our offense will move down to about #5. After only scoring one tiuchdown on its first ten possessions with great field position all day (that was an eye opener for me), our unstoppable offense looked very stoppable for a big portion of a game for the second time this season. Meanwhile, our defense has steadily improved. Does the defense actually have a chance to finish the season ranked higher than our great offense? I honestly am not sure which unit I would put my money on at this point. Great to be able to seriously have this conversation after last year. Yes I do realize that the defense has not really been tested by a top notch qb, but we probably will not see a top notch qb unless and until we make the cfp.
