I get you don't want to run up the score on a team, but running up the middle for 3 plays and punting every series has to be demoralizing for the 2nd team offense and it does little nothing to prepare them for reps when needed.  McCord has only thrown 15 passes in 1-1/2 years and is one snap away from being the starter.  Those guys practice hard and Day/Wilson should call the game the same as they would with CJ in the game.
