Ohio State defensive end Zach Harrison and safety Ronnie Hickman were both named Monday to the watch list for the Bednarik Award, which honors college football’s best defensive player.

Ohio State is one of 12 schools with multiple defenders on the Bednarik Award watch list.
Harrison and Hickman were both also previously named to the watch list for the Nagurski Trophy, which also honors college football’s best defender. Hickman is also on the watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award, which honors college football’s best defensive back.
The Bednarik Award watch list was the last of 16 watch lists released by the National College Football Awards Association over the last two weeks. The full list of Buckeyes to make those watch lists:

Two more watch lists were also released Monday: Paris Johnson Jr., Dawand Jones and Zach Harrison were named to the watch list for the Rotary Lombardi Award, which honors college football’s best lineman, while Bradley Robinson was named to the watch list for the Patrick Mannelly Award, which honors college football’s best long snapper.
