Quinshon Judkins stays in Ohio with the Browns and TreVeyon Henderson gets drafted by the Patriots
A quick compensation update pertaining to Ohio State’s support staff: New senior advisor and defensive analyst Matt Guerrieri will be paid $100,000 per year.
Notably, that’s more than twice as much as Paul Rhoads was paid to be a defensive analyst for the Buckeyes last year, when he received a base salary of $48,000.
Guerrieri, who was previously the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Duke, will also be eligible for an $8,500 bonus if Ohio State makes the Big Ten Championship Game, an additional $4,250 if Ohio State wins the Big Ten Championship Game and a $17,000 bonus if Ohio State makes a New Year’s Six bowl game, which increases to $21,250 if Ohio State makes the College Football Playoff semifinals and $25,500 if Ohio State makes the national championship game.
Per his contract, which Eleven Warriors obtained Friday in response to a public records request, Guerrieri has been hired by Ohio State for a fixed two-year term, “renewable solely upon an offer from Ohio State and an acceptance by Analyst.”
Guerrieri’s full contract can be found below.
