Ryan Day is one of 20 college football coaches on the preseason watch list for the Dodd Trophy, which “celebrates the head coach of a team who enjoys success on the gridiron, while also stressing the importance of scholarship, leadership and integrity – the three pillars of legendary coach Bobby Dodd's coaching philosophy.”

Luke Fickell won the award last year after leading Cincinnati to the College Football Playoff. Jim Tressel, who won the Dodd Trophy in 2002, is Ohio State’s only previous winner of the award.
