We all do it. We grow fondly to certain guys more so than others. Whether that’s a 3 star recruit that you hope blossoms from the day they sign, or just a straight premier All American that shines every single snap. With the current landscape of college football, this Rose Bowl feels so different than any other in tOSU history. Numerous players have entered the transfer portal, while other stars have decided to sit out of the “Grand Daddy of Them All”. 
 

While I don’t blame a single player that falls into either of those categories above, it’s hard to not root for the guy that’s stuck it out here, even when things didn’t go their way. I am REALLY rooting for Cade Stover in this game. I hope he plays meaningful snaps, and makes an absolute difference at linebacker. Here’s a guy that was recruited as a linebacker, didn’t make much noise, moved to TE, worked his tail off to get meaningful snaps there this season, and then asked to switch back to the other side of the ball for a TEAM NEED. In today’s culture, it really shows the type of character that he has.
