As we all know, 4 players opted out from the Rose Bowl yesterday. No real surprise there.
Sevyn Banks was recently quoted as saying the Rose Bowl should be his last game with the Buckeyes - but it appears he already may be done. Per his IG story, (@7banks_) yesterday and today, he is in Orlando and not with the team.
Also, Dan Hope confirmed he isn't practicing. Maybe they are all the ones out with COVID? ...but wouldn't make sense Banks is going out and about in Orlando:
Just finished watching about 30 minutes of Ohio State practice.
A few quick notes:
- Cade Stover was practicing at linebacker
- Did not see Sevyn Banks, Antwuan Jackson, Cody Simon or Marcus Williamson
- Chris Olave still practicing with the team despite opting out

Really surprising to me since Banks definitely didn't live up to the first-round hype he received pre-season but was rather surpassed by true freshman, Denzel Burke. Looks like he is going to declare or end up in the portal. Shouldn't really affect the game aside from depth but just some news I hadn't seen on here.
Alas, let's enjoy what is likely everyone's favorite play of Banks's OSU career and wish him well.
On a more positive note, I LOVE that Olave is practicing despite opting out. The dude is a true Buckeye and embodies what the brotherhood is all about. We will miss him!
