So obviously, your favorite team is ALWAYS OSU. For most of you, your second favorite team is whoever is playing Michigan.
My question has to do with rooting interests versus betting interests. Do you bet the same way you root? There are 3 basic scenarios:
- You always bet on OSU to win and Michigan to lose.
- You analyze the games as dispassionately as possible, and bet in the way you think will maximize your financial return, EVEN if this means betting AGAINST OSU and betting FOR Michigan.
- You avoid betting on OSU and Michigan altogether.
I'm curious what bucket you fall into. Did any of you lose significant coin in The Game this year? Did any of you bet against UM in the Big 10 Championship game? What about the Rose Bowl . . . are you betting on OSU? And are you betting on Georgia to crush Michigan?
FTR, I still need to pay off a lost bet from a couple years ago by wearing an OSU tie to my workplace, and sending the picture with $1 to my brother-in-law. And I will pay off! (FTR, I gave up ever betting with him on the OSU - Michigan game again.)
