I know it seems like recruiting DBs has been less than ideal for us with the last minute flips, transfers and decision not to pursue the big name in the portal (even though we were in striking range)

I think we are forgetting the fact we are sitting pretty at the DB position. 

Returning: Denzel Burke, Josh Proctor (returning from injury)

Cam Brown is toying with the thought of coming back. 

We still have players like: Lejond Cavazos, Cam Martinez, Latham Ransom, Bryson Shaw (not a fan favorite). I’m sure there’s a few i’m missing off the top of my head.

Then we have home run guys from last years class: Jakailin Johnson, Jordan Hancock, Andre Turrentine, Jaylen Johnson, Janzten Dunn

This years class: Jyaire Brown, Kye Stokes, Sonny Styles, Ryan Turner

We have no shortage of dudes on the roster. Not to say there’s not a chance more are to transfer, injury etc. So I know it’s frustrating to miss out on guys like Ricks but Day and staff has emphasized they will be strict on the portal and who they bring in. Trust me if they see someone that fits what they are looking for and is a high level player they will bring them in! We can expect at least 2/3 portal guys to give us depth but all in all We are fine!
