For the third time in eight days, an Ohio State quarterback has entered the transfer portal.
Jagger LaRoe, a walk-on quarterback who has been with the Buckeyes since 2019, became the latest to enter the portal on Sunday.

LaRoe’s decision to enter the portal shouldn’t come as a surprise, as LaRoe did not play a single snap in three seasons with the Buckeyes and went through Senior Day festivities before Ohio State’s final home game of the season against Michigan State. He told reporters in August that he would consider the possibility of transferring after graduating from Ohio State this fall, but that he wanted to be “fully committed” to the Buckeyes this fall.
Nonetheless, it leaves the Buckeyes with just three quarterbacks on their current roster who are set to return next season – scholarship quarterbacks C.J. Stroud and Kyle McCord and walk-on J.P. Andrade – with incoming freshman Devin Brown set to join the team in January.
