I know that we are all upset about the loss to TTUN, but I would like to share some things for which I am grateful about this season:

1. It was a complete season (2020 made me not take that for granted).

2. We beat PSU. I can't stand them. They still haven't beat us since 2016.

3. We beat Purdue and washed 2018 out of our mouths. We didn't just win. We crushed them. It was glorious.

4. We beat MSU, and in glorious fashion. Let's not forget that they've ruined a season for us in the not too distant past.

5. We beat Indiana. Last year's game against them was painful. They came back down to earth this year. It was fun to put them in their place.

6. The defense showed some improvement. I know the timing of this particular item isn't the best, but there is no denying that the defense improved from week 2. This is a young defense with a lot of promise. Hopefully some significant changes are made in the offseason, but there is a lot of talent on that side of the ball.

7. Stroud improved significantly and showed that he can play at an elite level. The future is bright at the QB position, which is absolutely crucial for our success.

8. Treveyon Henderson. Enough said.

9. Brian Hartline. Our WR's were insane and thanks to Hartline, we will continue to attract and develop elite talent at this position.

10. Coach Day. Again, I know that people may question certain things after today's loss, but by my estimation, Ryan Day is a top notch coach and a high quality person who will continue to produce great teams. I believe he will have us back in the playoff in no time and will lead us back to the promised land.

I was at the Oregon game and after watching, I honestly thought we'd drop at least two more games. Our defense was horrific and our offense sputtered. I was pleased that we made some improvement and were able to string together so many consecutive wins and against some decent teams, nonetheless. Let me make myself clear: this isn't a complacency post. Beating TTUN is a MUST and so is winning the conference. I'm not making excuses or asserting that there are no concerns or that no one should be frustrated. I just think when things like this happen, sometimes it's helpful to take a step back and look at some of the positives. Feel free to share your thoughts and add anything you're grateful for.
