Alabama had trouble with Fla, Celmson with Ga Tech, Okalahoma with Nabisco Notre Dame with Everybody and the of course The Beloved scraping along to be 2-1 on just the pure talent of the roster. I have no way of analyzing rosters, but could it be a lot of 2nd the 3rd tier programs are benefitting from having that extra year with experienced players? Whereas the top dogs are essentially as "cleaned out" of their experienced superstars as they normally are? We've had young, dysfunctional teams before, but the early mid-level competition seems so much more effective this season. It just feels like the pieces are NOT fitting together as we'd expect. I'm (so far) optimistic that we will settle into the groove we DO expect from them. If we do back into the playoff (win the Big Ten, someone else loses and Oregon continues to be a "good loss") we might actually be okay.
Is It the "Super Seniors"?
