B1G had a solid first week and next week will have massive playoff implications. The SEC may be primed for 2 teams in the playoffs after the Bama and UGA performances in week 1.

Here are the week 1 ooc games

• Rutgers beat Temple 61-14-an absolute beatdown by Rutgers shows that Schiano's squad is much better than the doormat Rutgers used to be. This could be a team competing to get to a bowl. 
• Nebraska beat Fordham 52-7-They won like they were supposed to. 
• Michigan beat Western Michigan 42-17-Won big like they were supposed to. 
• Maryland beat West Virginia-The first impressive win for the conference. A big matchup of depth with a lower tier B1G team with an average Big 12 team. Maryland won 30-24 and is poised to go 3-0 ooc which should help them get to a bowl game. 
• Purdue beat Oregon State 30-21-Another impressive win to prove the depth of the conference. Purdue may not be a bowl team(also play ND ooc) but it shows the bottom of the B1G is better than the bottom of the Pac-12. 
• Illinois lost to UTSA-The only loss of the week was pretty embarassing. Fresh off beating Nebraska Illinois loses an inexcusable game to a program that has no business winning against a B1G team. This takes a bowl game off the table for Illinois and also makes Nebraska look a bit worse. 

Week 2 Games

• Oregon @ OSU-Of course we know what the top game is. Oregon should be a bit nervous following a 7 point win over Fresno State and they will be likely coming in without Keyvon Thibaduex available. Top of the B1G vs the top of the Pac-12.  
• Iowa @ Iowa State-Iowa State only beat Northern Iowa by 6 and Iowa looked fantastic against Indiana. The upset of a top 10 ISU team would be huge for Iowa and the B1G. Iowa could be staring at a 10 win season. 
• Washington @ Michigan-Fresh off an upset by Montana they will have to travel to the big house for a massive game for Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh winning this game would be be great for his contract situation. On the field Michigan should be pretty geared up for this game following the upset, they should win this game. This is the difference between Michigan being an average bowl team and a top 25 team. 
• Rutgers @ Syracuse-This will be a real test for Rutgers. Schiano turning them into a program that loses to MAC teams regularly to beating other P5 teams and AAC teams to start the season would be crazy. 
• Illinois @ Virgina-Would have been cool for a 2-0 Illinois to go into this game carrying the flag for the bottom of the conference. Instead I don't really care, they suck. 
• The rest of the conference has very winnable games and week 3 will be another big week for the conference with games against Auburn, ND, Duke, Colorado, Miami, UC, and Oklahoma. 

So what are your predictions for the B1G in week 2? I think OSU and Michigan will roll over PAC-12 teams and Iowa will shock ISU pulling off a big upset that will keep Iowa in the top 15 all year.
