By surprised, I mean either in the way they played or in how much they played (or didn't). My top 4:
- JTT getting that many snaps. With him missing the spring, I did not expect to see him on the field in meaningful situations in game 1. Guess he was the number 1 recruit for a reason.
- I will cheat and combo this: Hickman and Bryson Shaw. Hickman was in on a lot of tackles - knew he would play but he was on the ball a lot. Shaw: thought he played really well - know some chances were because Proctor was out, but I was impressed.
- No WR rotation at all. AT ALL. I guess CJ needed the security blanket in a close game but man... very surprised we got zero meaningful snaps out of Fleming and EE.
- Steele Chambers. I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw Chambers in the game in crunch time snaps. Good for him - or bad for some of the other LBs? Not sure.
