The offseason rolls on folks, time to get a topic going.
I was discussing the RB position earlier this morning with a co-worker. Here's how I would handle the group:
1. JK Dobbins- pretty obvious, he's going to get the vast majority of the snaps. Just love this kid, stepped in from day 1 as a freshman and carried himself like a veteran.
2. Master Teague- looked good in his limited roll last season. I think when Dobbins needs to be spelled, Teague should be the guy to take those carries.
3. Marcus Crowley- keep him in redshirt territory as long as the guys ahead of him are healthy, but 100% need to get him in the mix late in the game.
That brings us to Demario McCall. I think he should used similar to how the Philadelphia Eagles were using Darren Sproles before the injuries made it so he wasn't able to play.
Sproles was never really a running back, or a slot receiver, or a return specialist, really he was all three. They made him a Swiss-army knife type of weapon and used him as a matchup advantage all over the field.
I think McCall could have a very similar role in this offense especially given his ability to catch the ball.
Thoughts?
