Haven't really seen any breakdown of Jonah Jackson as a player; saw this on youtube and thought I'd share:

My thoughts, for whatever they're worth:
--As is typical for an interior lineman, he's a better run blocker than pass blocker.
--Specifically: keeps hands within the framework and plays with good leverage (which obviously was an issue at times with our massive interior linemen last year). (See 0:21) The play at 1:05 is a decent example of a inside (tight) zone with a cutback that we're used to seeing here. He does a good job of staying low, keeps inside leverage and pins the DT inside, and critically doesn't hold when the RB cuts back against the grain.
--Really works hard to get a reach block against a 1-tech/nose at 3:23. That's a hard block.
--Does a good job getting to the second level. At 0:12, hustles to the second level to get a very fast Devin Bush; while he doesn't get a clean block, he doesn't hold and nicks Bush just enough to disrupt his pursuit angle (also doesn't hurt that Bush runs into Tariq Cole). At 3:05 he's a more successful bodying him up. Good athleticism getting downfield on screens (1:40).
--Seems like he gets lost in pass pro at times. (At 0:35, looks like he gets frozen by the stunt and misses Winovich.) But hard to really say without knowing the exact protection scheme.
--Not shy about finishing blocks. I like the finish and little extra shove at 0:30.
