How good is the Ohio State Buckeye football team? It has been ranked number one in the AP poll since the beginning of the season.  And now with two solid Big-Ten victories over Maryland and Penn State, the Buckeyes are solidifying that position.

So how is Ohio State viewed with two weekends to go before the CFP selection committee makes their choices?  Here are the rankings of various sites, both the subjective voting (like the AP poll) and the quantitative analysis (like the FEI and S&P+ rating), and a mix of the two (like the PFF).

Ranked number one by voters, but rated just outside of the top 4 by the analytics, it will be very interesting to see how much Ohio State's ratings improve after the Rutgers game.

team record ap pff fei s&p+
Ohio State 7-0 1 1 12 5
Baylor 6-0 2 3 5 4
Utah 6-0 3 7 2 18
Texas Christian 7-0 4 5 18 6
Louisiana State 6-0 5 4 4 10
Clemson 6-0 6 9 1 1
Michigan State 7-0 7 2 14 26
Alabama 6-1 8 8 3 3
Florida State 6-0 9 6 21 7
Stanford 5-1 10 11 8 15
Notre Dame 6-1 11 15 6 12
Iowa 7-0 12 13 13 14
Florida 6-1 13 12 11 17
Oklahoma State 6-0 14 - 17 33
Michigan 5-2 15 16 9 2

Also Clemson and Alabama are more highly rated quantitatively (1st and 3rd) than they are ranked subjectively.  And surprisingly Mich is rated 2nd by the S&P+.  They will be more dangerous than their 2-loss record shows.
