Time for everyone to RELAX. The Bucks can't win every game 100-0 and put up a 1,000 yards of offense every game. Yeah, we played incredibly well in the CFP but it's literally impossible to replicate that level of play on a weekly basis-- Urban tried it at UF and it nearly killed him. The expectations of some fans are just way too unrealistic. There's a process involved with every football season where you're growing and developing as the season goes on. You don't want to peak in week 4. Lest we forget just how ugly many of our wins were last year.... People act like we just steamrolled though our schedule after the VT loss and nothing could be further from the truth.

Quite frankly, I don't think people are giving this schedule enough respect. Yeah, we're playing some MAC schools and other lesser-known schools but some of you act like we're playing total crap competition. Let's look at some common opponents...

#2 MSU (37) 452 yards vs. WMU (25) 383 yards

#1 OSU (38) 511 yards  vs. WMU (12) 338 yards

----------------------------------------------------------

#1 OSU (38) 363 yards vs. Hawaii (0) 165 yards

#22 Wisconsin (28) 512 yards vs. Hawaii (0) 255 yards

-----------------------------------------------------------

#1 OSU (20) 298 yards vs. NIU (13) 190 yards

NIU (38) 545 yards vs. UNLV (30) 493 yards

UNLV (7) 235 yards vs. TTUN (28) 377 yards

------------------------------------------------------------

#1 OSU (20) 298 yards vs. NIU (13) 190 yards

NIU (14) 153 yards vs. Boston College (17) 326 yards

BC (0) 195 yards vs. #10 Florida State (14) 217 yards

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully this will provide a tiny bit of clarity as to how our first 4 opponents are performing with our other opponents or other high ranking programs. The only real "clunker" for the Bucks offense was the NIU game but the rest of the games seem to be pretty similar to our opponents or better. One thing is for sure, the Buckeye defense is elite.

Are there things to improve upon? You bet. Is there any reason for the gloom and doom we've seen here the past few days? No way. Today was a big step in the right direction as to finding an offensive rhythm and the defense held up well despite being on the field nearly all game long.
