This series will highlight the commitment anniversary date of Ohio State players. I have commitment dates from 2003-2015.
Note: I don't have all of the commitment dates for all of the players from those years, but I'm working on it.

Sam Longo, 6 feet 5 and 270 pounds, is ranked the No. 20 offensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com. He sorted through roughly 30 scholarship offers before choosing Ohio State.

Longo requested a release from his scholarship in 2011. An excerpt from Doug Lesmerises of cleveland.com:
Ohio State confirmed today that backup offensive lineman Sam Longo requested and has been granted a release from his scholarship by the Buckeyes.
The second-year lineman from Bellbrook High School, near Dayton, redshirted his first season in Columbus in 2009, then played in just one game in 2010, against Eastern Michigan. He was behind three other linemen in his class, Corey Linsley, Jack Mewhort and Marcus Hall, on the depth chart.
Sam Longo finished his career with the Cincinnati Bearcats.
