A few fun facts about the Shoe with regards to the recent discussions on seats and supply and demand.

When the stadium was constructed in 1922, it had 66,210 seats, such that there was one for every 87.6 Ohioans.  Today it has a capacity of 104,944, one seat for every 110 Ohioans.

But of course, TOSU is not just for Ohio.  When built it had one seat for every 2,048 Americans.  Now there are 3,061 Americans vying for seats.

But let's face it, this is a global environment we live in.  We've even got a kicker from a place where everything is upside down.  When built there was one seat for every 27,700 humans.  Now there are 68,608 humans vying for that obstructed view seat you're unhappy about.

Now that alone is staggering, but when you factor in the increasing ease of travel that has been going on since 1920, you can really start to see how the demand for a front row seat to Autumn Ohio Glory (tm) has been skyrocketing.
