I have always loved to hear the label of "blue blood" associated with this football program because of the elite sense it gives off. But if it is truly an elite term, what is the criteria? Where is the cutoff? Is it sustained greatness throughout the history of the sport? I guess maybe defining the term is all relative to the person you're talking to. I was just curious as to what the different opinions were, as well as your list of the true "blue blood" programs of college football. Mine: Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Alabama, Florida State, Texas, Oklahoma, and USC.
What makes a "blue blood"?
