What one regular season play do you think helped save us from a possible second loss and no chance at making the playoff?
Lots of good ones come to mind, but I will save them for some of you. I will go with JT Barrett hitting Devin Smith over the shoulder for 43 yards on a 3rd and 23. Sparty was up 14-7 and it looked like they were going to score often. This play kept a TD drive alive and changed the momentum.
For me this play gave Ohio St some confidence which carried us to a victory over a quality team that gave us some much needed swagger. To that point the doubters were saying all we had was a loss at home to VT, a win over an overrated Maryland team, and a narrow double-overtime win over an outmanned Penn State squad.
I love how the graphic at the bottom of this clip shows Mich St 3rd in the FBS in 3rd down conversions allowed.
