I did my best to make sure my subject line was anti-clickbait so that no one has a heart attack worrying about a decommit or injury. This topic is solely to discuss Kareem Walker and my (and yours) opinion of the Ohio State commit and his expected impact on the program.

After watching every bit of film Youtube has to offer on the kid, I'll be damned if I'm not super impressed. It is my personal opinion (and when it comes to Ohio State athletics, I am relentlessly optimistic) that the running game for Ohio State football has its starter for next season, and all 3-4 years he is on campus. His vision is exceptional. His athleticism is off the charts. His power is akin to a bulldozer. His speed is enough to outrun defensive backs when he reaches the second level. He is mature, he is vocal, he is a born leader with a drive and ambition you rarely see from a kid his age. I think he not only sees playing time his freshman year, but I think he starts and shares playing time with Curtis Samuel in a 50/50 split, with Walker being the every-down back and Samuel the change of pace guy. Granted, I am not an expert, and this is clearly the homer in me talking, but I see talent in this kid to the point where the sky is his limit.

My lofty yet still realistic prediction for his career as a Buckeye:
Freshman season: 985 yards rushing, 245 yards receiving, 6 TDs, National Championship
Sophomore season: 1630 yards rushing, 445 yards receiving, 16 TDs, National Championship
Junior season: 1985 yards rushing, 455 yards receiving, 18 TDs, National Championship
Senior season: NFL-bound, but if he stays, 2000+ yards rushing, 595 yards receiving, 23 TDs, Heisman, National Championship
Total Yards From Scrimmage(Career): 8340 yes
Total Touchdowns: 63 TDs (okay, admittedly unrealistic)

I have no basis for this, these are just my hopes for the kid, who I believe to be well-adjusted and deserving. Thoughts? Or, better yet, who do you see as being another more-likely contender for our work-horse RB? Barring any serious injuries (lets all take a second to pray for his health), I think its entirely possible he comes in the ballpark of these stats. Even is it is highly unlikely, or unrealistic. Urbans offense produces 250-300 ypg rushing on average, so the opportunity is there. I think we win another Natty (or more) in Kareem's tenure so he could play in 52-60 games in his career, theoretically.
