We all heard about how much the underclassmen (UC) were producing. Even the man himself, Urban Meyer, said this team had "arrived a year early." However, is anyone truly aware of how much of the offensive production was coming from UC? If one of the most explosive offenses in the country (if not THE most) "arrived a year early," defenses will not be able to sleep the week they play Ohio State. Take a look at these numbers.
Rushing Yds | Passing Yds | Receiving Yds | Total (Rush/Rec) | |
Totals | 4036 | 3707 | 3707 | 7743 |
Total by UC | 3921 | 3694 | 1949 | 5870 |
% by UC | 97.15% | 99.65% | 52.58% | 75.81% |
97% of their rushing yards came from underclassmen - 99.6% of their passing yards by underclassmen (Thank you Evan Spencer!) - 76% of all rushing/receiving yards came from underclassmen.
Watch out college football.
