So I was looking at our old recruits and I was shocked to see how little the class of 2012 panned out.
Specifically: The only starters from that class are Josh Perry, Tyvis Powell, Jacoby Boren, Michael Thomas, Adolphus Washington, Taylor Decker, and Pat Elflein (7). 10 (!) are not even on the team anymore. 6 very little playing time and buried on roster. Now those starting players are all great contributors, but having so few junior/redshirt sophomore upperclassmen starters can really hurt a team. In contrast, 8 players who are sophomores/redshirt freshman are starters on this team.
In summary:
Class of 2013= 8 starters
Class of 2012= Only 9 genuine contributors.
Class of 2011= 12 current or former starters.
