Ohio State Guard Myles Herro to Redshirt for the 2025-26 Season

Freshman guard Myles Herro was never expected (or projected) to be a major part of Ohio State's rotation for the 2025-26 season. A late addition to the 2025 class, Herro committed to the Buckeyes in June, choosing OSU over schools such as Cal Poly and Western Illinois.

Herro will redshirt in 2025-26, per the Columbus Dispatch's Adam Jardy.

The 6-foot-3, 165-pounder will focus on developing his game and getting stronger off the court this season before possibly contributing for Ohio State next year.

Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Whitnall High School, Herro played AAU ball for Team Herro, coached by his father, in Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League. He averaged 21.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists as a senior at Whitnall.

Myles is the brother of NBA All-Star and Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro.
