Jody Finney, a true Gentleman and Humanitarian, and a man I considered a friend was lost to us this week. Jody was a HS All American out of Springfield South, and a Sophomore starter on the 1968 Final Four Buckeye squad. That team had the huge regional final win over Adolph Rupp & Kentucky 82-81. Although losing in the Final Four to UNC, the Bucks bested Elvin Hayes & Houston for 3rd place in the consolation game. As a Junior, Jody averaged 13.3 ppg, and as a Senior captain averaged 20.7 ppg.
