Michigan just lost to msu now has 3 losses which is 1 better than Illinois. The only catch is illinois played 20 conference games to Michigan's 17. In addition michigan played iowa, illinois purdue and ohio state only once and lost their only game at home vs illinois. Can anyone clarify why michigan was awarded the big ten championship, by my math and espns illinois should be conference champions all by themselves.
