WR Grant Perry was convicted in an Ingham county court Friday of a felony charge of resisting arrest and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery. He pled guilty to both charges in exchange for having two charges of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct removed.

He was given a sentence of 12 months probation and if he completes his probation terms , his convictions will be vacated in accordance with a Youthful Offender law.

Now it remains to be seen what UM does with him. Do they cut him loose, which means he loses his scholarship and will end up having to try to get a job somewhere, and complete his probation, or do they keep him on the team as a way , as Harbaugh did with their center who kept crawling into a bottle, to help a young man grow up and maybe make something of himself?

Nothing from Harbaugh as of yet, he had said when Perry was charged, and was suspended from the team, that his fate would be decided after the outcome of the legal proceedings. He did not go to the Orange Bowl, and has just simply been working out with the team.

The local reports don't go into detail as to what happened, briefly, Perry got into a argument outside an East Lansing bar(no , he wasn't in Ann Arbor) , began arguing and shoving a woman, then grabbed her butt and groin area, when the cops arrived, he took off and during his arrest, he shoved the police officer down resulting in minor injuries to the cop.
