What’s up guys? For those that haven’t been following along, we’re still on hiatus. Life’s had its ups and downs since I’ve been home and been back to work but we’re still kicking.
A good friend of mine (who I hired 6-7 years ago when I was the manager) had to go under the knife for his rotator cuff so I stepped back into the managers role in his stead. I didn’t want work to be absolutely obliterated from the production aspect if I’d left and my buddy Matt was gone. With the volume and level of staffing we currently have, I’m feeling a little ambivalent about that decision.
We’d planned on resuming the walk aspect of everything in Annapolis in June but now it’ll likely be dependent on when Matt can return to work 100%. So perhaps late summer/early fall.
In the meantime I’ve decided to use each month to participate in more ultra distance events, and this Memorial Day weekend, I’ll be up in Cement City, Michigan to do a 72 hour race. The race itself is a benefit for a nonprofit related to individuals and families maneuvering through life with hydrocephalus.
We’re using it to partner with Stop Soldier Suicide to raise funds for them and us. It being Memorial Day it seemed to be the perfect nonprofit to partner with. So I’m going to once again shoot for my 1st 100 mile belt buckle, and to pile on mileage to raise money.
If yall want, feel free to donate outright here https://gofund.me/426aee053 or make a pledge per-mile with a comment. I’ve pledged my customary $5/mile or $500 whichever is greater.
Additionally I paid to have our website redone and now it looks a bit more professional, rather than looking like some caveman just smashed his keyboard and mouse around to put something together lol. We’ve now added a space for folks who wish to also share their journeys to do so, which is a huge part of what we wanted to do with the walk aspect.

Heading to work for what’s going to be a VERY long day. But trying to stay as positive as possible. The last two weeks were both 70+ hours and yesterday was my first day off in nearly three weeks.
Remember if you, or anyone is struggling to dial 988. There’s ALWAYS someone out there who cares.
Tomorrow needs YOU
