An update on my badass brother CalPoppy. He’s continues to fight hard against the leukemia and pneumonia. He definitely values the kind words and prayers that have been coming from you all. His wife has been an absolute rock for him. *flexing arm emoji.

He is going to require a bone marrow transplant, but unfortunately, we siblings are not a match for him. :(. I’ve had a number of 11W members contact me about testing to be a bone marrow donor and I have information for you. There is no direct testing for Shannon specifically. To register to see if you’re a match, you must register with https://bethematch.org.

I am posting some links below to their website. There are some donor stipulations that you will need to be aware of. Donor ages are from 18-60, but from age 44-60, you have to pay $100 to get tested because it is less likely that you will be a match. Don’t shoot the messenger, I didn’t make the rules!

Although I’m not a match for CalPoppy, I’m going to go ahead and register with bethematch because if I can help a family that is going through this horrible reality, I will in a heartbeat. I would encourage you to do the same if you’re able.
