I just moved recently and decided that I do not watch enough TV outside of college football season to justify having a cable plan.

My question is, what people preferred between Roku or Apple TV? I'm considering the latter because I already have a MacBook and iPhone, so my instincts are that AppleTV would be work more seamlessly to connect all my devices.

Also, does anyone know of any sports streaming services better/cheaper than Playstation Vue? Just reading around, it seems like for sports, Playstation Vue is the "gold-standard" among streaming apps due to variety of channels offered, and the ability to cancel your subscription at anytime. It is, however, $45/month for their "Core" plan, which is far from cheap, but more economical than paying for a yearlong cable subscription.
