Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers captured one of the best wins of the 2025 college football season.

On Saturday, No. 7 Indiana defeated No. 3 Oregon, 30-20, ending the Ducks' 18-game home winning streak and breaking their own streak of 0-46 against top-five opponents on the road before this weekend.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, running back Roman Henby and wide receiver Elijah Sarratt were difference-makers for the Hoosiers. Mendonza completed 20 of 31 passes for 215 yards, one touchdown and one interception; Hemby carried the ball 19 times for 70 yards and two scores; and Sarratt hauled in eight passes for 121 yards and one touchdown.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore failed to perform at the same level he has all season against Indiana, as he completed 21 of 34 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown and two picks in the contest. The Ducks also failed to have much efficiency on the ground, gaining just 81 yards on 30 carries. Dakorien Moore and Malik Benson led Oregon's receiver room with a combined five catches for 83 yards and one score.

With its statement win, Indiana establishes itself as the Big Ten's second-best team behind Ohio State. Oregon still has a comfortable lead as the conference's third-best team, as Penn State's pitfall continues and Michigan, USC and Washington battle for the fourth and fifth spots in the top five.
