Ohio State will get a second shot at Gonzaga if it defeats South Dakota State on Thursday afternoon.

The fourth-seeded Zags punched their ticket to the second round by staving off a feisty 13th-seeded UNC Greensboro, 68-64, in opening tournament play in Boise.

The game was tied at 64 with 20 seconds left when Gonzaga redshirt freshman Zach Norvell daggered the Spartans. Gonzaga made one of its next four free throws to seal the game.

Forward Johnathan WIlliams led the Bulldogs with 19 points on 8/12 shooting from the field. Spartan guard Demetrius Troy finished with a team-high 16 points.

If the Buckeyes advance, it will be a rematch of a Nov. 23 game. The Bulldogs routed the Buckeyes, 86-59, in the Phil Knight Invitational Tournament behind Williams' 21 points.
