Urban Meyer has struck gold once again, this time in the form of a commitment from Shaker Heights product, Donovan Munger, who gave the OSU boss a verbal pledge following his official visit to Columbus over the weekend.

Munger, a 6-4/285 two-way lineman, is primarily being recruited as a defensive tackle. He is rated as a composite four-star prospect by recruiting services and chose the Buckeyes over offers from top programs such as UCLA, Georgia, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Penn State, Auburn, and Tennessee, among others.

Considered a defensive tackle right now, Munger becomes the fifth true defensive lineman in this class, joining Joey Bosa, Billy Price, Michael Hill, and Tracy Sprinkle. While he can certainly have a talented career at that position, it wouldn't completely shock me to see him eventually move to offensive guard somewhere down the road, as his film on that side of the ball is very impressive as well.

Nonetheless this is another solid pickup for Urban Meyer and the coaching staff, as they march closer to landing one of the top recruiting classes in the nation for 2013. Stay tuned for up-to-date news from 11W, as we keep you posted on the latest buzz in the recruiting world.
