(For 11W regulars, that headline and this scary gray bad-news box are just for you. Now CHILL OUT)

In 2010 Eleven Warriors had the idea of a reader appreciation tailgate called Eat Too, Brutus. As site traffic began growing by 100% month after month after month, we decided that with higher visibility comes opportunity.

That's why the second Eat Too, Brutus tailgate, which was held prior to the Wisconsin game, was to benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.

The tailgate was made possible by the generosity of our corporate and tailgate sponsors: City Barbeque graciously catered the entire event, Cheryl's Cookies flooded the event with hundreds of what they do best and Oval Brewing, Buckeye Vodka, Grandman, Buckeye Beer and our tailgate & afterparty partners at SchmooGate stepped up huge for E2B in a grand and selfless way that produced a memorable afternoon for everyone who attended.

From a fundraising standpoint, former Buckeye athletes and the Ohio State Compliance Department graciously donated items that we raffled off at the tailgate, while almost 200 of you paid anywhere from $14 to $99 for the E2B 2011 t-shirt, the proceeds of which are all going to the Spielman Fund.

Thanks to Ares Sportswear, who produced the shirts - and shipped them to E2B donors - at a cost that allowed for the highest possible donation, our fundraising efforts were fully maximized.

In total, Eat Too Brutus ended up raising $5737 for the Stefanie Spielman Fund; $1967 coming from SchmooGate on-site donations and the rest from E2B shirts and raffle ticket sales. Not bad for a blog tailgate that was initially conceived to better connect us with our readers.

If you missed it, here are the pictures that Dave took at E2B. And mark your calendars for E2B3, which will be held October 6, 2012 prior to the Nebraska game - at SchmooGate, directly behind the Varsity Club.

Once again, it will be held to benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. And it will be both bigger and better than this year's edition.

On behalf of everyone at Eleven Warriors, thank you all for helping make this event and this brand a success. Without you all of this is impossible.

[If your company/brand would like to sponsor, partner or participate with 11W and/or Eat Too, Brutus 2012, please contact us & put E2B3 in your subject line. SPOILER ALERT: Your company/brand wants to be a part of this, and we look forward to hearing from you]
