Under Armour All-American, Doran Grant, just announced on ESPN that he will be attending The Ohio State University next year.

Grant is a defensive back from Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary who can have an immediate impact in Columbus next season. At 5-10/180, he was excellent at both cornerback and receiver for the Irish in his senior season, and while he'll be spending most of his time defending passes, Jim Tressel has hinted there is a chance he could be catching some while in Scarlet and Gray as well.

This is a huge pick-up for the Buckeyes as corner back is a position of dire need and Grant is ranked as one of the top three at his position in the nation. I actually have Grant as the #1 player in Ohio, ahead of Braxton Miller, so I'm certainly excited to see what he can do for the Bucks in 2011.

Jabari Gorman was the only other Buckeye prospect in this game who announced his decision tonight. He chose Florida over Ohio State and his hometown school of Miami, making the Grant decision even more important.
