French Ohio State Pajamas Are the Stuff Of Which Nightmares Are Made

Who knew college football merchandise was so lucrative overseas? Last week, it was Braxton Miller Matryoshka dolls in Russia. This week, it's Ohio State pajamas in Murviel-lès-Montpellier, France.

Only, there's something horrifyingly wrong with these pajamas. See if you can spot it.

That Ohio State logo could use a little work as well.

I disagree, respectfully.  We have much, much, more for which to thank the French:

It's maze and blue and has a mix between a ND and USC emblem.  Pretty fully.

Good Lord, they print it in the colors of our greatest rival, and then (as CC rightly pointed out) pretty much rip off the logo of our left coast rival:

I saw the logo and actually thought of Oregon State the way they intertwined the O and the S:

I like me some beaver :) but I prefer my school's logo not look like this, kthx France.

Is it like their version of American Eagle or something? Do we do that to other countrys' stuff? Is their some American UM fan working in France that is responsible for this? There are so many questions that need answered. I would love to see a 30 for 30 to expose this.

Anyone remember that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when the Nazi swastika on the boat cargo box holding the Ark is mysteriously burned off and the rats start acting strange? I could see this set of French OSU pajamas catching fire like that and wildlife going crazy if a true Buckeye fan ever put it on.

Where's the rest of the picture? Whoever took it should probably just stick to selfies.

I wonder if the colors mean something different to them, or it's just an insult; read somewhere that yellow and blue represent cowardice and corporate. Maybe the French hate the U.S. as much as many Americans hate them (often for weird and unknown reasons too).

And then I told her...i'm no weatherman, but tonight's forecast is calling for several inches!

Maybe they're still angry about us calling them French Fries?

Or 13 years or so ago when it aptly demanded we drop the 'french' and call them 'freedom fries' by some for events/ politics at the time.

To be correct, it didn't matter who was in Nazi Germany's way from 39' to 41'. Britain and the United States had oceans or sea's protecting them from the Blitzkreig.

Russia through the "Lend-Lease" act with the U.S. was able to hold the Eastern Front together long enough til that Sleeping Bear was awoke and began building a war machine better than Germany's.

The Bristish couldn't run fast enough out of northen France in Dunkirk to save what was left of it's Army. And the Russians was within 5 miles to losing it all before the Russian Winter saved them.

After quietly profiting from our "Lend Lease" the U.S. was forced into WWII.by the Japenese and with the French Underground, Britain and Russia's help, we all defeated a one of the worst nightmare of our times. The Axis Powers.

Then they go and mess up Ohio St. pajamas. Just Shameful j/k lol

I had a roommate in college that bought a yellow OSU sweatshirt at Long's. I never understood why Long's would even carry that item. I was not roommates with said individual the following year.

+2 HS

Back in the 80s Long's sold Ohio State sweatshirts in any number of different color combinations. To be honest I prefer that OS rendition on the French pajamas to our current outdated abomination of a sports logo.

BuckeyeSaab's picture

This is very common in Europe.  In Italy I saw an Ohio State hoodie in Spartan colors next to a michigan shirt in Scarlet&Gray.

The reason for this is licensing fees.  Shops can sell the American "look" to a population that has seen it in movies and whatnot but doesn't know enough to realize colors, logos, etc. are wrong, all without having to cut the NCAA and schools in on the action.

I'm sorry for not being sorry.

They shouldn't be patting themselves on the backs over the Statue of Liberty either, took our boys nearly 3 months to chisel off the armpit hair.
