Braxton Miller, Johnny Football, Devin Gardner (and Other) Matryoshka Dolls in St. Petersburg Russia

Do NCAA investigators have jurisdiction in Russia? I sure hope not.

Greg Welch, @ArtDirectorBYU, is apparently in St. Petersburg Russia and stumbled upon a treasure trove of NCAA violations.

But if you're a fan of Matryoshoka dolls and college football (and possess the capabilities to travel to Russia)... today is your lucky day:

For a mere $56, you too can own these intricate Braxton Miller, Johnny Football or even Devin Gardner Matryshoka dolls. (Who would want a Devin Gardner Matryshoka is a question above my mental paygrade.)

My wife's uncle worked/lived in Moscow several years ago. For Christmas in 2005 or 2006 he gave me a Craig Krenzel Matryoshoka doll that he bought in Moscow. The smaller dolls inside were the key players on the 2002 National Championship team. The players in order: Craig Krenzel, Maurice Clarett, Michael Jenkins, Alex Stepanovich and Will Smith. The name of the market was Izmailovsky, just outside of Moscow.

EDIT: Thanks for the uploading help Crimson and Jason.

You have to upload them.  Sorry.  Get a free imgur account, and then insert image with a link to it.

Yes, what Crimson said. You don't even have to register an account at imgur. Simply visit, drag-and-drop  your image to upload, then copy the URL and paste it into the image box for your comment.

Thanks for the help Crimson and Jason. Her uncle bought these at a market outside of Moscow called Izmailovsky.

No Mike Doss? I wonder which OSU players are included w/ Braxton. That's pretty awesome.

I've got a set too that I bought in St. Petersburg. It's got Troy Smith, Antonio Pittman, Ted Ginn, Anthony Gonzalez and a teeny-tiny Beanie Wells.

The position of its hands makes me uncomfortable...

Aaside from the Jersey number...I do not see a likeness to the particular player the doll is supposed to be representing ;)

My dad bought two of this set in 2003.  He gave one to Tress and one to Geiger. From one he got a hand-written thank you note.  From one he never heard anything.

You could display the smallest Gardner doll with all of the larger Buckeye dolls. It would represent the current state of the Rivalry.

I wonder if it is Braxton all the way, or if each doll is different...

There's something wrong with the photo....ah, got it.

That's better

DJ, do you have a hidden treasure trove of GoT upvote gifs?

There should be a Zach Bore doll that comes as set with Gardner

All these well known players and then a random Purdue one way in the back turned around backwards... Fitting.

Anyone know how the school or player could possibly be penalized here?  Obviously they aren't making money from these and didn't even know about it.

I'd venture to say they aren't officially licensed and are not connected to the university in any way whatsoever.  Also, Russia.

About five out six years ago that were selling Archie and Spielman matryoshoka dolls at the Shoe during home games. Could also get them at any store that sold OSU stuff.
