The odds are just not in anyones favor to do that. "Scrolling hurts my finger" (and FitzBuck was clearly the winner) Unky Buck 9 Sep 2013, 8:35 am Yeah, I agree. I sent my buddy a text after that game and said while I think their offense is going to be a force to deal with once they get everything rolling right, their defense seems to have some holes that will get exposed. And when you look at their schedule to end the year, I think you can find one or two losses in there. But like you, it's not a knock on them, it's just difficult to go undefeated and they'll need everything to go their way to make it happen. I will say that it would be epic if we were both undefeated again for The Game so if it happens for both of us, I'll be glad to be wrong. Rock over London; Rock on Chicago. Timex: It takes a lickin' but keeps on tickin' AndyVance Mod 9 Sep 2013, 8:44 am You're right - it would be epic, and would actually be a boon for our national title hopes. The Conference needs to continue putting together solid weekends like the one we just finished to regain some perception of being a "power" conference on the field... Marquee matchups of ranked teams within the conference are critical to doing that, and a matchup like the year we were #1 and #2 going into the game would be huge. Unky Buck 9 Sep 2013, 9:09 am Agreed, Andy. I've actually been impressed with the play within the conference so far. Maybe it's a "it couldn't get any worse" kind of thing from the previous 2 seasons, but it appears as though the talent level has gotten better almost entirely across the board. I also think these out of conference games against BCS opponents are big too. For as minor of victory as it may seem, Illinois beating Cincinnati was a rather nice surprise and hopefully indicative of things to come on a larger scale for the conference. And if those Huskers can return the favor to UCLA this weekend, I think it'll continue to help the perception of this league. Rock over London; Rock on Chicago. I loved the steak challenge when he had to eat the fat. I actually thought of you when I saw it was on. "Scrolling hurts my finger" (and FitzBuck was clearly the winner) Unky Buck 9 Sep 2013, 9:05 am Are you saying I'll eat anything and everything in front of me for a T-shirt? Dreams Crushed tears are the best ****igan smells like old water that hot dogs were boiled in. FACT twalsh 9 Sep 2013, 8:16 am That's what I say to, I want them to be undefeated when we play them. Go Bucks!! Hoody Wayes 9 Sep 2013, 6:45 am Let theM be Undefeated. Let the Buckeyes rUin their perfect season, their winning streak at hoMe and show theM who's the B1G BOSS, the following week in Indy. Let the Buckeyes crUsh theM dreaMs! BuckeyeInOrlando 9 Sep 2013, 7:25 am Nope. They lose to Nebraska. Buckeyes beat a 1 loss ttun... then beat an undefeated Nebraska. This would be best for the Buckeyes SOS... so I hope that's how it happens. Hoody Wayes 9 Sep 2013, 9:09 am That'll work, too! Haybucks 9 Sep 2013, 7:31 am It's too much to ask for having to play in the B1G Legends! (snort) I does look like they're lucky not to face Illinois. Really, oods are they'll take one on the chin before meeting their maker in the season finale. Probably Penn St., Sparty or the 'Cats will take them down a notch or 2 or 3. Sparty will surely figure out their offense by Nov 2. If the world comes to an end, I want to be in Cincinnati. Everything comes there ten years later. - Mark Twain TMac 9 Sep 2013, 8:07 am Sparty should figure out Dave long before November...... ONE Not Done! CUBS 9 Sep 2013, 8:49 am Colter and Co. will take care of business before then. I also think Northwestern's D is pretty tough. Not to toot the horn too loudly but there will be some hits delivered. I dont think the D will stop michigan's offense throughout the game, but I do think michigan will have to earn points. The pro-style offense fits well with NW's defense. Earle 9 Sep 2013, 9:09 am No. I just don't think they're that good. I see at least 2 losses for them coming into The Game. I am not convinced by their win over Notre Dame. That team just looked awful. Maybe they all need fake dead girlfriends. Snarkies gonna snark. Smanpoint10 9 Sep 2013, 2:46 pm I agree. I don't see a top 25 team in Notre Dame. Their offense isn't as dynamic without Golson and the defense is obviously worse OldColumbusTown 9 Sep 2013, 9:39 am I'll give Michigan credit - their offense looked pretty good, but I'm still not convinced it's as "great" as all the experts are making it out to be. Notre Dame just looked terrible in the secondary, and Michigan really couldn't run the ball that effectively other than Gardner on rollouts. Defensively, ND ran it right at Michigan and was effective doing so. 5 yards per carry - they just didn't do it enough. Receivers for ND were also beating Michigan's corners at pretty much every opportunity. I see them losing to Nebraska or Northwestern, maybe both. They're definitely better than last season, but I don't know how much better. Once B1G teams can scheme the offense with Gardner under center, we'll see how good they really are. Hovenaut Mod 9 Sep 2013, 10:16 am They have Nebraska (home) and Northwestern (away) in consecutive weeks to start November. I haven't seen the Wildcats play yet, but have a feeling they beat TTUN. http://days.to/7-september/2015 Rock on. BuckeyeinSavannah 9 Sep 2013, 11:22 am Ohio sate? hail2victors9 9 Sep 2013, 11:44 am In the last two years, the defense has looked questionable in the first two games and then looked better and better as they year went on. With that said, nope, they will not go undefeated. 1-2 losses going into The Game. Oyster said: Being undefeated is a difficult task for any team. Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS! ~Bo Schembechler Oyster 9 Sep 2013, 11:48 am To be honest, I was only saying that to make you people feel good about yourselves and that was in no way related to OSU ; ) "Scrolling hurts my finger" (and FitzBuck was clearly the winner) BuckeyeFreak4844 9 Sep 2013, 11:52 am I am very surprised 270 people voted yes. Michigan Sucks! Oyster 9 Sep 2013, 11:59 am Obviously there are at least 270 of 'Those People' on this site, and they feel compelled to vote for their team I guess? "Scrolling hurts my finger" (and FitzBuck was clearly the winner) hail2victors9 9 Sep 2013, 1:24 pm I think 90% of those of us who post regularly probably voted no. I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, none of myself, HelloHeisman, MMan, Nwmaxwell, blueinwisconsin, or ohiobornmichiganbred had Michigan going undfeated. Of course, that opinion could've been changed after averaging 50 ppg to start the year. So, closer to 350 (now) non commenting michigan fans or maybe, just maybe there are some buckeyes giving Michigan some props. Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS! ~Bo Schembechler Bucks Mod 9 Sep 2013, 5:42 pm Don't know if I would call it giving props but from what I've seen (regardless of opponent), I think they will be. I had them pegged to lose to ND. That not being the case, I don't see a potential loss until Neb/NW weeks with NW being the test IMO. ChazBuckeye 9 Sep 2013, 12:39 pm I've been saying this since last year...OSU should want TTUN to be unbeaten in 82 days. I see no problem beating them twice in one year to prove OSU's the best in tB1G (despite the naysayers talk about losing one of those two games...). I personally think we should all want them to be good every year. I hate them more than anything or anyone. However with tB1G not looking very good for the second or third year in a row. I'd say we need TTUN to be as good as possible. Even an undefeated OSU team may miss seeing the BCS title game if TTUN struggles this year IMO (at this point I could see another 2006. Again I don't know why we wouldn't want to see that?). Some people think we’re the hunted.I don’t feel that way at all. We’re the hunter.Everybody wants an angry football team.Everybody wants a team on edge and a hungry team.If you’re a hunter, that usually equates to being hungry. BuckeyeFreak4844 9 Sep 2013, 12:45 pm Why not root for Nebraska to go undefeated and set up an undefeated Big Ten title game? Why does it have to be ttun, i will be rooting for Nebraska to be undefeated and set the state for an epic Big Ten Championship game! Michigan Sucks! cajunbuckeye 9 Sep 2013, 12:53 pm Exactly! Why can't Missagain go to the cellar and Illinois, Whisky, MSU, Iowa, etc. get there sh*t together. An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches lljjgg 9 Sep 2013, 1:50 pm November is going to be a rough month for them. @MSU Neb @NW Iowa Iowa is terrible, but the fact that that game is right before the OSU game could be a potential trap game. I think they get at least 1-2 losses going through that group of 4. Not because I think any of those teams are better than Michigan, but because @MSU, Neb and @NW is the sort of 3 game run that catches up to people. Both in energy and in unfortunate injuries (not that I wish that on anyone). teddyballgame 9 Sep 2013, 3:06 pm MSU is also terrible, the only way they get points is if the d forces turnovers lljjgg 9 Sep 2013, 3:52 pm Agreed. Long time till November though, my presumption is that their offense will at least become serviceable by then, once they've finally settled on a QB and he has a few games under his belt. One game that could also catch them (as well as OSU) off-guard is PSU. I like Hackenberg a lot. Doc 9 Sep 2013, 1:54 pm I'm one of the 376 people that voted "yes", because AACC is one of the luckiest teams going. They usually have the ball bounce in their favor along with most calls go their way as well. I'm not counting on it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. CJDPHoS Member The Official DDS of 11W Seth4Bucks 9 Sep 2013, 1:58 pm They're capable of going undefeated, but I don't think that it ends up happening. But it would be pretty epic for Mich & OSU to run the table and have a rematch of that 'Game of the Century' and then go on to win the NCG to kind of bring this thing full circle. That said I won't be rooting for the skunks to win in any games. hspbuy1 9 Sep 2013, 2:18 pm I don't believe we face an undefeated wishagain team at the end,IMO any good defensive team will beat ttun, & I think at least 3 good defenses will beat them, including ours! hspbuy1 teddyballgame 9 Sep 2013, 3:10 pm Gardner to Gallon looked legit, so I guess they have a real qb now Nebraska and NW are their only real threats it would seem, but I haven't watched those teams enough to judge their chances yet Citrus 9 Sep 2013, 3:11 pm When we beat TTUN I don't want there to be any "yeah buts." In their house, well-ranked squad, no serious injuries. We go in there and rip their spine/heart out like some Mortal Combatesque fatality. Then we go to the B1G title game and DO THE SAME DAMN THING BUT WORSE AGAIN! Yeah that's right. I want TTUN twice this year. It is unlikely to ever happen again. I want to first smash their NC hopes and then demolish their chance at redemption in subsequent weeks. mmmmmmm those tears would taste sweet. I want Brady Hoke to break down and pound his fists on the press conference table screaming "why god? WHHHHHYYYYY???" I want the whole TTUN coaching staff to offer their resignation. I want Kyle Kalis to tweet "Dear tOSU, is it too lare for me to transfer?" Then TTUN can go to the Rose Bowl (cause we are in the NCG) and they can dispense Oregon or Stanford using their third stringers and the equipment manager as a coach. Everyone will think "Oh no holy hell! The Buckeyes are on a war march- everything standing in their path will be laid to ruin!" Then I want us to beat 'Bama so badly that Cardale F'ing Jones gets playing time. I want it to be so bad that the AP retroactively awards us last years NC. I want it to be so bad that Saban QUITS NOT JUST FOOTBALL BUT LIFE! That is right, I want Saban homeless and reeking of piss because his whole psyche was demolished. CentralFloridaB... 9 Sep 2013, 7:44 pm I think it will be tough for them to go undefeated. TTUN is getting better and that is actually good for OSU and the B1G. If we are get some recognition against the SEC and other conferences we need strong teams. I think TTUN will lose 1 or possibly 2 games going into The Game. I hope we are undefeated as well, but again it is an extremely difficult thing to do. We will need some more luck like we had last year to do it. Go Bucks!! Knarcisi 9 Sep 2013, 9:59 pm They very well could be, but I think they lose to either Michigan St or PSU. I say thaty because these Ds are more stout than any that they will play and I think it's a different game for them once they get into a game like this. I don't think NW or Nebraska have enough defense to hold them off in the scoring fests that these games will be.
