PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
I like Spurrier. He is coaching at a school not really known as a football powerhouse and he is doing a pretty good job of competing with the 'big boys'. To me, that proves his ability as a coach. He doesn't get all the high profile players, doesn't have all these highly ranked classes every year, yet he is competitive in a cut throat conference.
Spurrier is just a little too crazy for his own good. Makes impulsive decisions during the game. Likes to play multiple quarterbacks throughout the season and even during the game. Often he likes to take chances on recruits who don't have such high ratings when he is more than capable of pulling high ranked recruits in. And the things he says
I wasn't born a Buckeye but I became one as fast as I could.
I will be following Rutgers with interest this year. Getting familiar with them for next year.

THE Ohio State University
It's not that ANY of the Thursday games really interest me, but the UNC v SC game is the return of CFB which is not only interesting but exciting!!
Would love for UNC to pull of an upset of South Carolina. Start the year off right with an SEC loss.
All kinds of this. No out of conference has a chance to beet an SEC after week one (until bowl season), so I'll be rooting hard for TCU, VaTech and UNC.
Imagine if all three win. Best weekend ever?
Let's go North Cackalacky! The least "southern" state (along with Virginia) of all the states in the south! That's gotta count for something!
"Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you."
I always consider Kentucky the south. Maybe it's the accents and total disregard for the benefits of education.
Why, the Kent State, Akron, and BGSU games on Thursday interest me more than the ones in this poll, of course.

USC Hawaii has potential to be fun if a QB disaster erupts for Kiffin.
Who we kidding. Kiffin is going to screw it up.
Definitely excited for the South Carolina North Carolina game...have a feeling SC is going to take UNC to school, something their athletes aren't used to.
But seriously, it would be beautiful to start off the year with an SEC loss. go heels
One word: Clowney.
This was going to be my exact comment. Verbatim.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
I live in NC and loathe UNC. Also, like most North Carolinians, I'm less than fond of South Carolina as a state, and am largely apathetic towards them as a school. So even though it's a school I despise vs. the SEC, and I wouldn't mind if the winner is a sinkhole, it's the first college football game of the year and I cannot wait!
Growing up in North Carolina I came to despise UNC, far more than any other school, including Michigan. Getting inundated with crap like "Why is the sky Carolina Blue? Because UNC is God's favorite school" makes you want to see a Visigoth horde sack Chapel Hill. Also South Carolina has been such a pretender under Spurrier its unbelievable. They are literally a one man team right now and have such an inflated ranking it's laughable, also Columbia, SC is one of the most bland cities in the U.S. I'm rooting for the crop-duster dropping some anthrax on the UNC-USC game on Thursday, or at the very least some football that would make Walter Camp want to bite a cyanide pill, causing USC's ranking to plummet like it's 1929.
That sounds like me going to VT and hearing
IF GOD AIN'T NO HOKIE FAN, THEN WHY DO THEM LEAVES TURN MAROON AND ORANGE IN THE FALL PAWWWWWLLLLLL (Okay, they didn't actually say that but you get the idea)
Also UNC has the worst Walmart fans I've ever met. The worst thing is when I hear them talking about sports and pronouncing Carolina as "Kerliner", it's an act of assault on the English Language.
UNC is a really good school. I imagine most of their fans are Walmart Heels
BG vs Tulsa
I will, of course, be monitoring the college football landscape Thursday. However, I have my fantasy draft (priorities!!!!!!), and will be more interested in monitoring the Brownies starters and to see how TP's start goes, despite it being preseason week 4 garbage. None of the listed games particularly peak my interest.
~Christopher S.~ Go Bucks!!
"Aut viam inveniam aut faciam!"
We play NC coming up (is it 2015?), Clowney is a beast, but I want to see SC knocked off early to damper the SEC hype. Who am I kidding, the SEC hype will be sky-high all season.
I don't care for Mississippi. But really can't pull for Vandy after the crap they pulled with us....
So many reasons to hate:
As a Buckeye trapped in Oklahoma HELL, I am interested in the Tulsa @ Bowling Green matchup.
As an old Wood County boy, I feel the same way. NC @ USCar is probably the most significant in a lot of ways, but I'm a Falcon fan as well, even living in Phoenix.
Ole Miss vs Vandy
I am interested in Ole Miss because they pulled some crazy recruiting heroics for the '13 class. There should be a lot of young exciting players to watch like Treadwell, Adeboyejo and both Nkemdiche's. They have a lot of 1st and 2nd year players in their two deep and it's going to be interesting to see if Freeze makes them someone to contend with. If he keeps recruiting like last year it shouldn't take him long.
All of this. I think it could be the best game of the bunch by far. Can't wait to see the new talent.
Interested in seeing what Minny can so against UNLV
This game had the 2nd most votes (including myself) and you are the only comment that I saw about this game. Im excited for some B1G football and will be pulling for the conference in OOC games.
That is a solid lineup of games.
UNC/USC looks like a good game but I want to see how Minnesota looks this year.
Other. Steubenville Big Red vs. Detroit Central
UCF vs Akron-I'm a UCF Grad
"because we couldn't go for three"
C'mon guys! Taylor Graham is starting for Hawaii. There's always a chance he could lead a huge upset over USC.
plus i'm going to this game tomorrow.
Wow! I forgot about Graham. I will def be watching now and pull for the former Buckeye to take down USC.
I went with Rutgers @ Fresno. I'm curious to see how the new B1G team next year will play against Fresno. Also, I know one of the kid's dad who plays on the team, so will be cool to see if he plays.
Had to vote "other". I just honestly have no interest in any other teams or games except one particular one on Saturday.
Especially this early in the season. I'm a total Homer, with no apologies about it. I'll watch every second of my Cleveland teams getting pounced and make me sick to my stomach and still not get into glancing at any other non local games, at least until playoff/bowl time.
Not to say I don't keep up on everything else, just can't watch. Too many other things I'd rather do.
