Urban Meyer, speaking Sunday at a press conference before Ohio State's annual media day, announced a blow to both his offensive and defensive lines.

Moments after announcing redshirt sophomore defensive end Darius Slade will miss the season after suffering an Achilles injury, Meyer also confirmed JUCO transfer Malcolm Pridgeon is expected to miss three months after suffering what he categorized as "a knee injury."

Earlier this week, our Eric Seger projected Pridgeon to backup left tackle Jamarco Jones, but he possesses the ability and size to play either tackle or guard position. Meyer noted offensive line depth is now "a concern."

Eleven Warriors will have more on this story as it develops.
