Last year at this time, Ohio State strength coach Mickey Marotti put his charges through the grueling "Harley Davidson" workout. When footballers entered the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Wednesday morning, they probably were mentally prepared for another round of pain.

Marotti, however, surprised the team by nixing mat drills and rewarding players with a new pair of LeBron XIVs (a $175 pair of shoes modeled over here by JUCO transfer cornerback Kendall Sheffield). Afterwards, the team hit the practice courts at the Schottenstein Center to work on their jumpers and dunks.

Even cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs got in on the action.

A dunk contest then broke out. Everyone from H-Back Demario McCall to right tackle Isaiah Prince can be seen in the video above. Outside linebacker Malik Harrison won the contest, while defensive end Rashod Berry finished with an honorable second place.
