Coaching industry insiders Football Scoop reported Monday night that the American Football Coaches Association was abuzz with talk Ohio State co-offensive coordinator Ed Warinner could join Minnesota in the same role under P.J. Fleck.

For whatever reason, that talk appears to be dead.

Here's the latest word from The Scoop:

Sources tell FootballScoop that the move is not expected to come together.

With former Indiana coach Kevin Wilson reportedly joining the staff and offensive line coach Greg Studrawa being retained, Ohio State would have to sort Warinner before adding Wilson officially—or wait until April, when the NCAA is expected to add a 10th assistant coach, to announce the latest hiring.
