Greg Studrawa has agreed in principle to the terms of his contract to be Ohio State's new offensive line coach, but the latest addition to Urban Meyer's coaching staff has yet to sign his new deal.

According to the term sheet obtained to Eleven Warriors, Studrawa is set to make $400,000 in base salary from Jan. 14, 2016 to Jan. 31, 2017. Studrawa's deal is set to be for two years and expire April 30, 2018, and he can receive compensation increases as approved by the Board of Trustees at the beginning of next February. Studrawa earned a base salary of $286,940 last season at Maryland, according to the USA Today's coaches salary database.

For comparisons sake, Ed Warinner earned a base salary of $600,000 for the 2015 season as offensive line coach and offensive coordinator. He will now coach tight ends in addition to his coordinator duties as he yields to Studrawa, while Tim Hinton moves to an administrative role and special assistant to Meyer. Last season, Ohio State's assistants ranked ninth nationally in salary.

The figures are a result of a public records request submitted by Eleven Warriors to Ohio State Jan. 15–the school announced Studrawa's hire—and filled Wednesday morning. Studrawa signed the term sheet Jan. 31, while Vice President and Director of Athletics Gene Smith did the same Feb. 5.

Studrawa isn't the only new coach on staff. Meyer announced the hiring of defensive coordinator and safeties coach Greg Schiano Dec. 11. Ohio State has yet to fill a request by Eleven Warriors for Schiano's contract, but did say his new deal also remains unsigned like Studrawa.

Like all other coaches on Ohio State's staff, Studrawa can earn significant raises based on performance. His bonuses are as follows:

  • An 8.5 percent base salary supplemental compensation for winning the Big Ten East Division.
  • A 4.5 percent base salary supplemental compensation for winning the Big Ten Championship.
  • Participation in a College Football Playoff postseason game: 17 percent base salary additional compensation.
  • Participation in non-College Football Playoff postseason game and 9-win season: 4.25 percent of base salary bonus.
  • Participation in semifinals (but not finals) of College Football Playoff : 21.25 percent base salary additional compensation.
  • If Ohio State wins the CFP semifinal, Studrawa is not entitled to his 21.25 percent additional base salary compensation. Instead, he receives an additional 25.5 percent base salary compensation.
  • Car stipend of $600/month.
  • Six football season tickets and two men's basketball season tickets.
