Ohio State's Braxton Miller Named Senior Bowl Practice Player of the Week

Braxton Miller did nothing but help his NFL Draft stock as a wide receiver in Mobile, Alabama, this week in preparation for the Senior Bowl. Friday, is efforts were recognized.

Miller earned Senior Bowl Practice Player of the Week honors with his lightning quick speed an impressive route running that exploded across social media during workouts.

Despite only playing wide receiver for one season at Ohio State, Miller wowed scouts and NFL brass with his hands and competitiveness. Miller's solid showing created some rumblings about him potentially getting picked as high as the second round in April's draft.

"You just put in the time and the determination in how you want to perfect your craft," Miller said in a release, "(and) it shows on the field. So, that's what I've been doing."

The award was voted on by Senior Bowl personnel and a panel of NFL scouts.

The Senior Bowl is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from Ladd-Peebles Stadium on the NFL Network.

  • TOP SPECIALIST: Jeff Overbaugh, San Diego State
  • TOP DEFENSIVE LINEMAN: Noah Spence, Eastern Kentucky
  • TOP LINEBACKER: Reggie Ragland, Alabama
  • TOP DEFENSIVE BACK: Harlan Miller, SE Louisiana
