Ohio State Climbs to No. 11 in Coaches Poll, Stays Put at No. 13 in AP Poll After Rolling Illinois

After smashing unranked and lowly Illinois Saturday night, Ohio State moved up two spots to No. 11 in the coaches poll and held steady at No. 13 in the Associated Press poll. 

Mississippi State and Florida State, the top two teams, were the only squads to receive first-place votes in either poll The highest ranked Big Ten team remains Michigan State at No. 6 in the coaches and No. 7 in the AP.

The Buckeyes, which are ranked 16th in the College Football Playoff rankings, will play the Spartans Saturday in a massive bout in East Lansing.
